Bachelor Pad 2 – August 30, 2011… What Did That Yogurt Do To You, Melissa?

I’m not sure which made for better television… Crazy Melissa Schreiber beating the heck out of her yogurt while experiencing an anxiety attack on national television or watching her completely losing it while waiting for “exactly 40 seconds” while Blake Julian completed his teeth brushing requirement.  Volcano Melissa was ineffective in preventing Blake from sweeping Holly away to Mammoth, CA for a snow-filled day and giving her the rose.

I do know what made for sad television… watching Michael Stagliano going through the agony of spending the entire  night worrying about his beloved, naive Holly Durst in the arms of the user-abuser, Dr. Blake.  How can she not see through this guy?  Holly gave the song “Torn Between Two Lovers” an entirely new meaning.  She not only said “yes” to Blake’s date invitation, but she also stayed overnight with him in their little snow chalet where they supposedly “only kissed once.”  Holly returned to the bachelor pad where she swiftly found her way back into Michael’s arms and lips.   Note to readers:  it has been reported that the couple are currently dating and recently attended a Los Angeles wedding together.   Holly, Holly, Holly!

Dr. Blake could’ve better utilized his time giving our guard and ever-protector, Casey, a lesson in oral hygiene.  With the exception of his own girlfriend, Vienna, who “ooh’d and awwh’d” over his recognizable kisses, all of the Bachelor Pad ladies commented on the ultimate disgust they encountered in the form of his raunchy breath during the kissing contest.  He should have done them all the favor of honoring his girlfriend and bowing out of the contest… he would have spared the ladies of the horror of that nightmare!

My girl, Ella Nolan, brought home the winning trophy of “best kisser” for the ladies.  She chose a private, hot air balloon date with Kirk.  Although it’s always my luck that my favorites will not win, I am putting out hope against hope that she makes it to the finals.  Her story of losing her mother at the age of 13 to domestic violence was heart-breaking.

My favorite, Ella Nolan

Our princess Erica will attempt to team up to spare her elimination on next week’s episode.  Truthfully, her days are numbered along with those of Blake.  I project the power couples staying in control for at least another couple of episodes.

We also got the low-down on the new Dancing With The Stars contestants during Monday night’s episode.  I can’t wait to watch Ricky Lake!

…Until next week…

The Bachelor Pad 2: It’s Guard & Protect Your Heart Time…

It’s officially GUARD AND PROTECT YOUR HEART TIME…

Yes, he did say that while flexing his tattoo.

I laughed so hard that I came up off the couch.  All for the love of his beloved sinking ship, Vienna.

For all of the ruthless backstabbing, ridiculous bragging, and childish antics, this show graced us with a wonderfully touching ending tonight.  Our true romantic, Aames stopped Jackie’s limo and rode off with her into the night sky.  $250K had nothing on Jackie… he won in something invaluable… love.  For that, congrats to ABC for 10 minutes of good television tonight.

Now… how do we figure out how they are paying the contestants off not to vote off Jake and Vienna?

In my next life, my job will be a producer for ABC working on The Bachelor/ette/Pad.  There’s no more guilty a pleasure!

My guess is that Jake Palvelka is voted off next week.

P.S.  Did y’all hear about  Ben (from Ashley’s season) went on a date with Jennifer Love Hewitt?  True True.

Bachelor Pad & Breaking A Million…

Lingering in my hangover from the THREE HOUR EPISODE of Bachelor Pad… I thought long and hard about writing a recap on last night’s saga.  However, in order to guard and protect my heart, I felt it best to let the ABC time filler speak for itself.  Even Chris Harrison joked about how long it was on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night.

And, why was I up so late for that?

Kids are gone on vacation and I can’t sleep without them.   2 hours of sleep last night and again tonight, I’m wide awake.

But, for those of you who caught last night’s episode… just how much of a villian are they making out Vienna to be!!!  My goodness.  I actually feel bad for her.  And… must state that I truly believe that Jake’s acting skills have developed so much.  Gia has perfected her hair flipping and I’m sure she must have an agent by now.  Rated-R is the biggest duffas-head I’ve ever seen.  What did his mother feed him as a child?  My hope is on Ella and Michael!

I’m admitting… a total waste of time… but, such a guilty pleasure.

P.S. – Broke a million visits.  THANK YOU, READERS!

The Bachelorette Last Night: June 14, 2010 Kasey Is Bound & Determined to Guard and Protect Ali’s Heart

logo

If you missed last night’s episode, you missed almost nothing.  She was sick for more than half of the episode.  The other half was centered around the crazy lunatic who tattooed a shield covering a heart and a rose on his wrist symbolizing his love for Ali and in remembrance of this experience.

For all of you who missed last nights’ episode, here’s your recap… well, actually the entire show was entirely boring… a waste of a good hour of my life.  All I can say is…

We start off with Ali and Kasey’s 1-on-1 date in which he expresses his eternal desire to “guard and protect her heart”:

Kasey is determined to win Ali's heart....

And, Kasey dreams of their wedding day and …..

Meanwhile, back on the date…

Not long after the date, she explained to everyone her fears about Kasey’s relentless obsession about guarding the heart.  They held a secret meeting at The Lion King Stage.

They staged the attack, but were surprised at Kasey’s power of love forces… it seemed like nothing would stop him!  He came armed with a bad tattoo and….

Thankfully, the magic unicorn was able to distract Kasey and divert his attention.  She led him back to his home-sweet-home, filled with love, laughter and chocolate chip cookies… a place where his heart was safe…

As he gets ready for beddy-bye, he reminds himself…

Who are my favorites?

Still Roberto… OLE!  So sexy!

Chris, the landscaper from Cape Cod (yum)

And that scrapbook guy… is is Kirk?

I’m glad that weather-boy got the boot last night.  He bugged and was too short.

Well, toodles!

The Bachelorette: May 31, 2010

logo

Last night included two your stereotypical staged, dream-dates that you would expect from The Bachelorette.  There was the “Hollywood Glamour” date with the vintage car and the Hollywood Sign and the Las Vegas, private jet, Ferrari, fancy suite date.  The other was a group date on the beach in which they posed for a charity calendar which can be purchased on abc.com.

This week’s show wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be, but I’m hoping that next week’s episode will deliver some more juice!

Here’s this week’s quick wrap up:

Thanks for stopping by A Novel Menagerie!
