The Sunday Salon: Long Week.

I had a tremendously long week.  I have family who is sick and in the hospital, I’ve been working like a dog, and the twins have had only a million things to attend.  I had the best intentions on writing a long post today… but found my pillow more appealing.

I wanted to share that I’ve received some great books for review:

The Cross Gardener by Jason Wright

Beatrice & Virgil by Yann Martel (LOVE HIM!)

Wicked Lovely & Ink Exchange by Melissa Mar (from a win)

Little Giant of Aberdeen County by Tiffany Baker

Just Like Me Only Better by Carol Snow

I was able to get several book reviews published this week. I can’t wait to share with you my awesome experiences in reading:

An Exact Replica of My Imagination by Elizabeth McCracken

The Memory Thief by Rachel Keener

I can’t seem to get through Pillars of the Earth.  Somebody please tell me that it gets better to the point where I can’t put it down.

I’m looking forward to the season premier of Dancing With the Stars and writing a post about it.

I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Sounds like a stressful week. Hope this week allows for more “you” time. Enjoy your new books!

Sorry to hear you’re under so much stress right now and hope that improves soon. I think I’ll miss DWTS for basketball tonight. :(

I could not read Pillars of the Earth the first time-the second time I loved it and could not understand what was wrong with my reding mood the first time.

I hope things get better real soon.. with life

As for the book – I loved Pillars of the Earth, right from the beginning.

Contrarily – sometimes I think putting things aside for awhile may help.. and as a “dedicated ditcher” myself I would say life is to short to read a book you just don’t enjoy.

    Take Care!

Hope your family member feels better soon and you have a chance to relax. I’m looking forward to your thoughts on Little Giant. I really enjoyed that book.

Hope this week is better than last! I have been having a horrible time with many blogging-related things. I mark all posts as read so often I feel like I haven’t connected with anyone this year! And then there is actually writing posts…
