Dee-Dee’s Summary

This is the 3rd book out of the series How I Found the Perfect Dress. This book is about a half goddess-half human girl by the name of Morgan. In this story, it is the end of the high school year. It’s time to move on to college but Morgan is having a tough time choosing where she wants to go and her academic grades are not helping her in the least bit. Then, when her parents set her up for a meeting with Mr. Phineas, a private college counselor, he asks what she is interested in.  She tells him that she likes Greek mythology. Mr. Phineas recommends Oxford University. That’s when her life is turned upside down.

Mr. Phineas tells Morgan that he will send her information about Oxford at 8:00 p.m. and that she must follow the instructions exactly. She thinks that everything is normal, but then instead of getting an email from Mr. Phineas she gets an email from her human crush Colin. In the email, Colin states that there are some funky things going on and that he needs Morgan to come and help him. She eagerly agrees. She does everything the email says and even prints it out to help her get to her destination. On the way there, she is nervous. She is going to have to act like a normal person around Colin because he doesn’t believe in mythical folk tales. When she arrives, Colin is very surprised and he says that he never sent her an email. That’s where things start to get crazier. He tells her about unicorns in the forest and how they showed him writing on the floor that stated:

“Must save world

get Morgan

now”

Colin believed that it was just one crazy stunt and that the unicorns were not real. But Morgan knows that this must involve the faery realm. In the middle of the night, she goes into the forest and calls for the unicorns. When they show up they tell her that the veil in-between the two worlds is slipping and only the queen can control the veil. So in order for her to save the world, Morgan must knock the queen off the thrown and take her position as queen of the faery realm. In order to do that, Morgan works to her limits to save the world. Does that mean that she might lose Colin in the process or will she tell him and go into a deeper, better relationship?

Did Dee Like -or- Dislike It???

I liked this story because of the action and how I never wanted to put it down. In the beginning, I wasn’t really hooked.  However, when I got to the part where Morgan gets the email, I wanted to know what’s going to happen next. This story shows how a young girl must face the world and take control of her future instead of having it laid in front of her. It also shows that love will always come through when you need it the most. I would recommend this book to all readers but the best age group would be kids, teens, and people in their 20’s. This is a great book and I think that all young kids should read it.
