Last time I checked, my calendar said “Friday,” not “Sunday.” Yet, I had a few breaking moments to get a post done and I thought…. “Why not?”
So, here’s the thing… my wonderful sister is taking me out on Sunday for a girls day. We’re hitting The Cheesecake Factory for brunch and then a deliciously swanky spa for facials and massages thereafter. We’re leaving all 5 (yes, count them… 5) of the kids with her husband! *I can hear the giggles already!*
After we’re done thoroughly pampering ourselves, we are going to her home to celebrate Christmas. So, as you can see… my Sunday will not be about blogging. Hence, my Sunday Salon on Friday.
Well, this week flew by and did bring me the stomach flu. EEK! I managed my way through it and did go to work while sick (which was NO fun at all). I got all of my schooling done except for one last final, which I will be doing tomorrow. This is the kids’ last day of school before their wonderful 2-week break. They are happy to have the time off but are afraid that they’ll be bored. Whatever! I wish I had two weeks off to be bored! Oh, the things I could do!
So, I did get one book review posted… I’m sad that I didn’t get more done. Maybe one tonight? I finished reading Scattershot and started reading Rosesthis week. I pre-ordered Going Rogue for my Kindle and it will download on the 26th. I’m looking forward to that. What are y’all reading this time of year?
I hope y’all are “fat and happy,” as my Grandmother would say, and enjoying all the yummy treats that the season has to offer! Drop a note and let me know what you’re up to!
*big internet hugs*
I hope you have a great day with your sister and a very Merry Christmas!

What a special time with your sister! You have fun, relax, and don’t worry about a thing. Life sure is better when the kids are out of schools, yes? And as much as I like socializing, I’m a bit over it now. Just two more parties, then we are off to my mom and dad’s place on the farm, when my vacation officially begins. I can barely wait. Have a great weekend Sheri!

Enjoy the cheesecake and the spa. You certainly deserve a relaxing day. I think her husband will need a day of relaxation afterward. LOL
