The Review

This is the funniest cookbook I’ve ever read in my entire life!  It was hysterical!  Here are some of the titles of my favorite (chapters) recipes in the book:

  • The Whole Office Read Your Journal Yummy Oatmeal Muffins
  • You Walked All The Way To Your Office Without Realizing Your Skirt Was Tucked into Your Underpants Sesame Chicken
  • Jalapeno Poppers for When Your Only Friends Are People You Met in a Chat Room
  • Valentine’s Day Party Ryes for Divorcees
  • Double Crust Apple Pie for Recreational Bulimics
  • You Farted Loudly in the Elevator Green Curry Chicken
  • Your Birthday is September 11 Chocolate Mud Cake
  • ADHD Alphabet Soup
  • PMS Pot Stickers
  • You Stopped Sleeping With Your Husband Years Ago Provencal Tomato Tartlet
  • Hummus for When You Want To Kill Someone

8The Rating

Some of the recipes, I actually think I’ll try out.  Much of the food in the book is comfort food… and there’s always room in my life for a little of that.  But, there were also some nifty recipes that may come in handy… like “Your Dad Is A Scumbag Monkey Bread.”  I’ve always wanted to try Monkey Bread, so I’ll definitely give that recipe a whirl!  The book is very cleverly written and I laughed aloud on more than one occasion!  This would be a great gift for ladies Bunko night or for a girlfriend.

Giving Thanks

I wanted to thank Hudson Street for furnishing me with a review copy of this terrific cookbook/giftbook.

Eh. Is it humor or frustration? She seems more like one of those people who thinks they’re better than everyone else (there is an underlying mean quailty in her humor). Lucky for her to be married to a movie star, she can get junk like this published.
