The Sunday Salon: BBAW Week Commences

This is it… BBAW Week! I can’t be more excited! I’m thrilled to have a week of a different set of posts… awards… and giveaways! Thrilled!

I will post some special giveaway posts during the week… and update on winners for BBAW. In the interim, I’ve got to get all of my homework completed, attend my book club meeting, and get the twins ready for a busy week at school. So.. my normal Sunday Salon update will be very brief this week!

I got Last Night In Twisted River by John Irving. I’ve not read any of his prior works, so I couldn’t be more excited. I also received After You by Julie Buxbaum.

Contests

At Home

The twins won their soccer game today, 1-0. Wonderful!

I got plenty of “friends time” in this week as well as getting the twins off and running in school. I’m buried in homework… and biology labs!

I really enjoyed the season premier of Glee this week. I hope to be able to blog more about it, however with school work so heavy, I’m not sure. Did you see it? What did you think?

Off to my book club meeting. If I’m a good girl and get all of my homework done, I just may be able to post again tonight.

Good for the twins! We had a basketball win for my daughter yesterday, and a football loss for my son. And lots of emotion from both – the drama around here makes my stomach hurt sometimes! I’m very excited for the start of BBAW. I almost freaked out when I discovered that we would be away on a fun trip Wednesday through Sunday of BBAW, but can assure you the laptop will be coming with us!

I bet the new John Irving book is good – I can’t wait to see what you think. It sounds like things are really busy in your part of the world. I’m looking forward to BBAW too!

I haven’t read any John Irving before either, but I have a couple of his books on my shelf. Congrats to the twins on winning their game!

Oh, no! I missed Glee! Totally forgot about it starting this week. We saw one episode over the summer and loved it!

I also got the Irving book. Wish it was about 200 pages shorter!!

Glad the twins won their game.

I got the new John Irving, too – just like Lisa! Maybe we can along and discuss it together? I was hoping to see him at the National Book Festival this month, but since I got my speeding ticket, my travel/fun money is gone. I’m really bummed about that because of all the book bloggers getting together.

I hope you won something for BBAW, especially for your new design! I hope biology labs are not too tough, I hated biology and chemistry. I loved Oceanography though!
