Current Headlines: Farrah Fawcett Dies at Age 62

farrah-fawcett Sadly and tragically, Farrah Fawcett has passed away, losing her battle with cancer. From an on-line source, her long time love, Ryan O’Neal stated the following:

“After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away. Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world,” her longtime partner Ryan O’Neal said in a statement.

I’ll remember her role as Jill in Charlie’s Angels as well as the made-for-television movies that she acted so brilliantly. I will most remember her iconic status on those posters that were just everywhere and her having the hair that we all wanted!

Rest in peace, Farrah.

Well that’s very sad. I just saw something on TV with the photographer of this shot you feature in your post. He said they took this blanket (out of someone’s truck I think?) and draped it over the tennis court net and she plopped in front of it in this suit of her choosing. Voila – infamy. I will always remember her in The Burning Bed. People ragged on her – shall we say – intellect – but her portrayal in that movie really worked.

Te Burning Bed is a great movie and I LOVED Charlie’s Angels. The entertainment world lot yesterday.
