I invite everybody to participate in the weekly MEME and write about any movies, television or big screen, that you’ve seen over the past week and write about it. Please feel free to use the above logo photo in your post and/or link back to the site. I will post every Sunday Night or Monday Morning on the movie I’ve seen from the past week. I’m hoping that there are other movie buffs out there who will enjoy the MEME as much as I’m hoping to! The only small request that I have is that you rate the movie out of 5 bags of popcorn (so, 1 bag out of 5, 2 bags out of 5, and so on).

The Hangover

Movie: The Hangover
Starring: Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha, Heather Graham, Ken Jeong, Mike Tyson, Sasha Barrese
Genre: Comedy
Runtime: 100 Minutes
MPAA Rating: R
Directed By: Todd Phillips

From the director of Old School and Road Trip, comes this HILLARIOUS new movie about what bad things can happen to good people. Four guys head out for a bachelor trip to Las Vegas. The bride’s brother Alan, played by Zach Galifianakis, is a little off his rocker. When he goes to the liquor store to purchase some booze for a rooftop toast, he picks up what he thinks is ecstasy to taint the booze with. Unbeknownst to Alan, the liquor store drug dealer issues him “Roofies” instead. So, he drops several of these pills into the bottle of Jagermeister that the foursome partake from. Of course, none of the other guys know a thing about this.

The next morning, the best man and groomsmen wake-up in a disaster of Ceasar’s Palace Villa with a tiger in the bathroom, a chicken running amuck, and a baby in the closet. Who’s missing is the groom. The three have to re-trace their steps to find him and, in the process, discover what happened the night before.

I have to say that Ed Helms COMPLETELY ROCKED IT in this movie! I think he was unbelievably funny! Being a huge fan of The Office, I was worried that I’d just see him as Andy. However, I totally forgot about Andy and completely bought him as Dr. Stu. KUDOS to Ed!

The other show stopper was Zach Galifianakis… how do you pronouce that, anyway? This guy was so unbelievably funny. I’m not familiar with him or his past work, however what I can say is that this movie is going to ROCKET HIM TO STARDOM! This dude had me giggling throughout the movie.

The remainder of the cast did a great job, including the cameo/small role played by Mike Tyson. Bradley Cooper is a STONE FOX and so fine to look at. I think that this is a great date movie that both the guy and the gal w0uld get some serious kicks from. However, there is nudity, off color language and the such…. if that type of stuff bothers you then this may not be the movie for you to catch. But, if you can take that stuff in good humor… you’ll bust a gut!
Please add your reviews into Mr. Linky!

There must be something to this movie, because it was #1 at the box office last week! Which is amazing, considering this is the season of desperate parents taking their kids to movies. “Up” is a delightful movie, but The Hangover got the best of it. I have a tough time getting to any movie not kid-appropriate, so this one will most likely end up on my Netflix Q!

When I first heard about this movie, I thought it was for the college-aged crowd, but everyone seems to be loving it. Maybe my son and I will go.

All I need is to hear that Bradley Cooper is in this one and I’m SO there. Stone Fox does not do him justice (beat beat, that’s my heart). I know. I’m nuts.

I so need to see this movie. It’s been on my list ever since I saw the trailer while watching another movie a couple months back. It looks absolutely hilarious (and your review confirms it).
Crossing fingers: My life needs to settle down a bit so I can have a nice night out at the movies. I’ll even settle for a nice afternoon. LOL
