Dear Tess,

I absolutely loved your book...on many levels. The blend of complexity and simplicity for each character and the colorful descriptive vocabulary that brought each one to life pulled me in various directions emotionally, but always with empathy and compassion.
As a person who was born without a "sense of smell", except for mint (toothpaste, peppermints end I experience an aura of mint if I feel faint) I so enjoyed your "colorful" descriptions through out
this wonderful story of contrasts: April & Oliver.
I will certainly watch for your next book and when you are so inspired, please write a sequel to April & Oliver. There are so many possibilities, but only you, with your gift of writing can do it justice. This would make an interesting movie, with carefully chosen actors, don't you think?
Thank you, for "taking me away" and for creating moments of sensual tension in my day to day life.
I.L.C.

I have to admit, it is rare for me to read a long post like this at 5:30 in the morning, but it pulled me in. What a cool cover, what an amazing sounding book, what an amazing woman. She wrote a book, with twins in tow, so really nobody has a viable excuse, right? Awesome interview, and now I must go sign up for this giveaway. 10 out of 10? Unbelievable!
