Not A Week For the Girls…

I Am Still In Shock… and Disappointed

Last night we said “GoodBye” to like Allison. I’m hugely disappointed. I thought she showed real promise and talent. She’s am American Girl with a huge dream and I think she deserved to make it to the finals.

Chris Allen and Danny Gokey are about equivalent for me. I think both of them are good singers, but I just don’t think that they had the same caliber of voice as Allison did. Maybe it was best that Allison was voted off during the show that had Chris Daughtry there. He’s done so remarkably well and I’m sure that Allison will, as well.

Personally, I’ve had enough of Adam Lambert. The 1980′s glam-rock screams are frankly, boring… I’ve been there and seen that. This boy has quite the past and I mean not in a good way! How can we vote for a boy with such lewd photos of him splashed all across the internet of him cross dressing and sticking his tongue down guys’ throats as an ”American Idol?” He doesn’t represent that to me… to me, that’s not my “Idol” and I am more than bored with his stage persona.

One last thing… why, oh why, Paula… did you lip sync this performance? If it was for the sake of the dance number, I would have rather watched you sing than watch that performance. Even my girls were disappointed and called it “slutty.” Hmm… 12 year olds calling it “slutty.” Makes you wonder.

dancing I Am Surprised, but NOT Disappointed

Tuesday Night brought a shocker for the regular viewers of Dancing With the Stars. It was only one week ago that Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough were on the top of the LeaderBoard. Now, they are voted off the show.

I think that most viewers believe that she was a technically better dancer thank Ty Murray. So, why the vote off? Was it a personality thing?

Several of my friends really liked Lil’ Kim and thought she was a lil-kim-and-derek-hough great dancer. I had this adversion to her and I think it was a personality/persona thing. I tried to appreciate the good things about her, but I just didn’t “like” her. I never voted for her. I do, however, really like Ty Murray. He’s just so personable and likable. He really tries in his performances and I look forward to watching him dance. Did this week’s voting reflect that perhaps others are feeling the way that I am about Ty vs. Kim?

My picks for the two couples to go into the finals are: Melissa & Tony and Gilles & Cheryl. I think that head-to-head competition would be the best to watch!

Okay I haven’t been keeping up with AI this season but I was sad to hear that Allison went home…

DWTS…I was SHOCKED…but hmmm I just watch the show I never vote…I stopped voting on reality shows years ago because of AI…decided not to allow myself to ever get that vested again…hehe. But hmmm if Shawn’s not careful she might be going home next week rather than Ty cause lawd knows he seems to have fans who like him simply because of his personality.

I could not believe this! I thought Lil’ Kim would win the whole thing. She is so spunky and fun and a great dancer. She has listened to their advice and used it to better her moves.

I think Giles should go home but maybe it is just because I don’t like Cheryl. I think she is full of herself. Ty should be going home too, as much as I cheer for him, he is not the best dancer and should have gone home before Lil’ Kim.

I think it may have been one of those issues where everybody thought everybody else would vote for Lil’ Kim and Derek and so they voted for someone else to help them stay, too. Kind of like Chris Daughtry on American Idol. But it doesn’t work. When will people learn?

I wasn’t surprised to see Allison go, though I really liked her. She was often in the bottom.

I adore Kris, though, and I hope he’s in the finals.

I was pleasantly surprized that Lil Kim was offed. I will admit that I’m like you Sheri. I just don’t like her as a person. As a dancer she is better than Ty but I don’t think she is as good as Melissa, Gilles or Shawn. I don’t think she would have won even if Ty was sent home this week. I’m glad I won’t have to see her scary faces anymore.

I love reading your summaries of the shows! I only watch bits and pieces of them so I know who you’re talking about but not always the details. You do an excellent job!

Have you received any of my emails about The Keeper of Light and Dust contest? I’ve sent my winner’s address 2 or 3 times, the first time as soon as I had a winner. I replied to your most recent email to me but I don’t know if you received it. I’m not sure what’s going on and why there is a problem. I seem to be getting yours OK. Let me know either way if you received it and if not I’ll try again. I’m so sorry for the delay and will get this straightened out somehow.

I was not happy with Allison going home at all. I was so sad for her. I’m impressed though with how she handled it all. At her age, to handle getting voted off with such grace was admirable. I sure hope she’ll get herself a record deal.
