Current Headlines: Bo Finds His Family… In The White House
Would the Press/Media just SHUT UP about whether or not this is a pound puppy? Every dog needs a home. I have a rescue dog and one that is not. We love them both equally. We have 3 rescue cats, but 3 fish tanks that were purchased. In my opinion, it’s a personal choice about how and when you get your animal(s). Everybody needs to stop criticizing the President and let him enjoy his new family member!
When you view this video, you will see that The Obama’s are just like any other American family when it comes to getting their first dog! But, after looking at 50+ pictures of them running after Bo, I would recommend some good training. But, it sounds like they’ve started when you hear The President tell The First Lady “it’s not working because you need a treat.” You’ve got it, Prez!
Congrats to the girls for getting the puppy they’ve longed for! You deserve it!

I personally would rather people have shelter dogs just because they are euthanized if no one adopts them. But, considering that they need a particular type of dog for the allergies situation, I think one from the shelter would be near to impossible. They do not have a lot of options. I think orgs like PETA are just using the opportunity to sound off on their cause. They did it with the Bidens, too.

I almost never watch cnn (especially in the middle of the day) but I happened to tune in for Bo’s press appearance.
Way too much fuss over a dog.

I have not watched much television lately, so I truly enjoyed this video clip. They seem like a normal American family or rather, as normal as you can be if you are the President of the United States.
While I agree that pound pups are great and deserve a home – I know from first-hand experience the deep desire of wanting a dog – and the inability of having one due to allergies. I am so glad that the girls have been able to find a family pet that they can truly enjoy for years to come.

Yep, way too much attention to a dog. We have bigger problems to deal with. Not that I don’t love dogs, we have three of the mangy (yet lovable) monsters. And Bo would technically be considered a rescue dog because he belonged to another family first but they returned him because he didn’t get along with their other dog. There was something mentioned about a delay in getting him because of some kind of obedience training too. Boy, we could use some of that here.

This dog is all over the news down here in D.C., its nauseating! Anyway, he’s a cute pup and from Ted Kennedy! LOL I think that the allergies are a problem for the family and this dog will be an answer to the problem. But Maybe the prez should be encouraging people to take on shelter dogs at the same time.

Hey the puppy was given to them so let them just enjoy him. It’s all over the news here too but then again anything they do will be all over the news. All pets need a home whether you buy them or get them from the shelter. They’re all ment to be loved and taken care of.

I haven’t watched the news much lately but everything the President does is under the watchful eye of the Press. I agree, they should just leave them alone and let the girls enjoy their well deserved pup! My son has allergies, so I can understand the dilemna in finding a dog that they can live with. It’s often hard to find these dogs at shelters and you may not know for sure if they are pure breds.
