DWTS: Naked Man Wins Again!

LAWRENCE GIVING LAP DANCES?
LEN’S STRANGE… IN THIS COUNTRY.
YOU’RE GOING DOWN, PAPA!
WE NEED MORE BULL-RIDERS!
Steve Wozniak and Holly Madison are gone, I breathe another huge sigh of relief. Actually, not because Steve is gone, but rather that Stick-Figure-Holly is finally voted out. As I rub my hands together… who, oh who, do I want gone next? (evil laugh sounds in the background).
Here’s my nagging and praising for this week’s couples:

- Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower
Ty took Chelsie to see a real live bull. He made her sit on it. Scary! He has such a great sense of humor. I can really see why he and Jewel make such a great couple. His dancing this week was a bit stiff and I have to agree with the judges. But, it’s hard to dance in a forceful, strong way and not appear stiff. I agree with the judges, not his best dance, but still decent. Scores: 7-7-7

- Steve-O and Lacy Schwimmer
Again, this week I disagree with the judges. They gave this couple a 5-5-5 last week and this weeks dance was MUCH IMPROVED from the prior week. But, I am also such a huge Lacy fan that maybe I’m being biased. I LOVED LOVED LOVED Lacy’s dress this week, as did Cole. She looked precious. Weird tidbit. While sick, I caught a movie on TBS or some cable movie channel. It starred Johnny Knoxville and Kathryn Heigel from Grey’s Anatomy. The movie was about faking it to be in the Special Olympics to pay off a gambling debt. Anyway, I had no idea that he was the guy from JackAss. He, and two other guys from the show, appeared to help Steve-O in practice this week. It may have helped some. But, Steve just still seems to be a bit down in the dumps. As Johnny Knoxville told him, a year ago we weren’t sure if you’d be alive the next day. I agree. So much to be appreciative for, Steve. I’d kill to be on the show! Raise your spirits and improve your dancing. Scores: 6-6-6.

- Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas
She looked lovely! Absolutely lovely. Their dance was very nice. I enjoyed the routine very much. I don’t know if I could have maintained that concentration if I were her… meaning, with the stalker thing and what not. Also, did you guys catch that rather naughty photo of Mark and Shawn on Perez Hilton this week? Scores: 9-8-9.

- Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovalani
Melissa should have been thinking about Jason in order to gain that “angry” look on her face for the dance! There were a few blunders in the routine, however I still think that her dancing is head and shoulders above some of the others. I think that the judges are scoring her on a different level than the other performers because she is proving to be a good dancer. Hopefully, she’ll keep her chin up and her toes pointed! Go Melissa! Scores: 8-8-9.

- Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough
I’m still not Little Kim’s biggest fan. I didn’t even like their dance. Her mouth was open 1/2 the time like she was trying to catch flies or something. And, Bruno is right! She was trying to “sexy up” the Viennese Waltz. Is there anything she won’t try to “sexy-up?” In the rehearsal tape, her weave was distracting me and I couldn’t concentrate on the video. Why is it that she is just like going against the grain for me? Why can’t I like her? And, what is this talk about voo-doo dolls? Heh? Anyway, Derek acted like he was da’ bomb after the dance and that made me pukey as well. Why can’t they just be voted off? Too many prison inmates? Scores: 9-8-9

- Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska
Their Paso-Doble was pretty good. I can see an improvement in Lawrence’s dancing. This week’s performance was much much better than last week’s. The twins thought that the dance was “awesome,” however I found it to just be average. I kept thinking that Lawrence was going to be the dark horse of this contest, however I’m now starting to have doubts. Scores: 6-7-7.

- Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke
Let’s start with the end of the dance. Bruno is up gyrating about in some funky mating ritual dance that scared Len to death. Carrie Ann, as well as the audience, is on her feet. Then, Len is accused of having “peck envy” over Gilles because our sexy 8-pack man had no shirt on for the first couple of 8-bars of the dance. I wish Cheryl never put the jacket on him! Man, Gilles’ wife is one lucky woman… that man just oozes sexuality. The dance was great and I think that Len is a big ole’ stick in the mud. Also… another comical part of their dance… when Bruno was giving his remarks on the dance, he is up on his feet and throwing his arms about. Len is pulled back away from Bruno and staring at him like his is a lunatic! Scores: 10-9-10.

- David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson
David just looked angry all night tonight. Or, is that just his face? For the Viennese Waltz, I don’t like “sexy drama,” rather I enjoy the romance of this dance. I didn’t care for their “story” for this number. I think David needs to focus on fundamentals like pointing his toes, extending his legs, and his musicality. He missed the mark for me this week. Sorry, David. Scores: 7-8-7

- Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough
Tonight they did the Viennese Waltz, one of my favorites. I did see an improvement in Chuck this week, however I have to agree with Carrie Ann, it wasn’t what I’d hope for in an improvement. Also, what is that comment about being in Vegas during the scoring period? I could CARE LESS that he’s having fun in Vegas losing money with the economy the way it is right now. Just a “boo” for bringing that up. Chuck, take this more seriously! Scores: 7-8-8

I think Steve-O needs to be the next one to go. I think Gilles will win it all and I’m with you – there was no need to put a shirt on him.

Great recap and yes I’m in love with the guy with the sexy eight-pack…I hope he and Cheryl bring it home! I also like Melissa and Lil Kim has even grown on me…Shawn Johnson is cute but she’s not cutting it for me on DWTS…she likes that hmmph…or something that I felt with the other young dancers but that I don’t quite feel with her…yet.

Sheri,
Did you see that Julianne won an award at the American Country Music Awards Sunday night? I think it was best new artist or something like that. She was jumping up and down and crying and was so adorable. I don’t like the song, but apparently someone does!
I missed DWTS this week, but sounds like I missed an interesting one! I think I am all alone here thinking Giles is just okay and not that hot. Of course, I did miss the shirt off episode…

The reason Chuck mentioned Las Vegas was that he and Julianne were there for the Country Music Awards. Julianne won two awards, Best New Female Artist, and the overall award Best New Performer Award. Having to go there cut down on their practice time.

I had NO idea why they were in Vegas…. thank you! Who cares if he lost money if he won awards! I read after the awards ceremony that she’s not coming back next year and she ADMITTED that she didn’t plan on coming back this season until they offered her the opportunity to dance with her boyfriend. Anyhow…Anywho…

I was disappointed in this week’s show. I think Steve-O should have gone home even though his dancing was improved this week. He barely danced. I am SO disappointed that DAG is gone. But not surprised. I don’t know why the judges hated him so much. I’ll miss him. Steve-O had better leave next week.

I have been a big fan of show since 2nd season going forward – I like the NFL guys, and I too thought that LT’s competitiveness and work-ethic would do us proud – however the rigors of a lengthy NFL career and time have caught up with his flexibility (lack thereof), and I agree with the statement,
” . . . however I’m now starting to have doubts”
to a futher extent is that should he make it past tonight, I think that he will unfortunately be done – - – and I have voted for him
Until The Morrow . . . .
