DWTS: Honey, Don’t Do the Dance… You’ll Hurt Yourself!

DWTS: THE RELENTLESS INJURIES
All we heard about tonight was injuries, injuries, injuries. Too many boo-boo’s to mend and not enough patience on my part. Tell me why Steve-O is doing a flip, granted without hands, that lands him on his back with a mike-pack in place? Dumb.
Here’s my nagging and praising for this week’s couples:

- Belinda Carlisle and Johnathan Roberts
I can’t stop staring at her plastic surgery. It’s just too distracting. What has happened to her super-groovy moves? It’s like Susan Lucci and Priscilla Presley rolled into one. Please, make it stop!

- Ty Murray and Chelsie Hightower
How much did I love Chelsie’s pony tail and dress tonight? TONS! And, our lil’ cowboy is proving to buck-up and hang in there! Good job, little bull rider! Oh, and I read in People Magazine that Jewel had fractures in BOTH of her fibia. Not good.

- Steve-O and Lacy Schwimmer
It’s really too bad that we merely got to view their dress rehearsal. Lacey is just the coolest! My bet is that they will be eliminated soon.

- Steve Wozniak and Karina Smirnoff
So, Kathy Griffin did show up to support her friend Steve (very cool). I can always appreciate a good Buddy Holly song, like Len. But, what’s ruining this partnership are the stupid looks on Karina’s face. No, Karina, you’re obviously not going to win. Deal with it! She’s actually ruining this partnership for me.

- Shawn Johnson and Mark Ballas
Clap. Clap. Clap. Their partnership reminds me of when he danced with Sabrina (Cheetah Girls), who I believe is still his lady love. They did a fine job. I can’t wait to see her bust out of her shell a bit more and shake that caboose!

- Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovalani
That’s some salsa to add to my chips, baby! Wooooo Whooo! I really like both of these dancers. Tony’s smile is made for a Bright Smile commercial and she is just so freakin’ sweet and cute. Go! Go! Like you! Jason… you’re such a looooosa!

- Lil’ Kim and Derek Hough
What color eye contacts will she wear next week? Gag-a-roolie. Cole hated her plaster-hair, as did I. I just can’t stop yelling “convict” and “boooooo” at the t.v. whenever she is on. I still can’t get over why she is allowed to be on this show and isn’t allowed to vote in a national election. When will the torture end?

- Lawrence Taylor and Edyta Sliwinska
I liked the bottom half of Edyta’s dress, but am not sure what was going on up top, there. Now, didn’t I say last week that he would be a “dark horse?” Yes, yes I did. See? He’s moving right along… just like I planned… AAAHHH HA HA!

- Gilles Marini and Cheryl Burke
The ripping the shirt open at the end was total overkill for me. We so didn’t need that to make the dance complete. Us viewers, we’re smarter than you think. We got the whole kryptonite/green thing. Tossing the glasses would have been enough. Still, I was tapping my feet and cheering them on. However, all 9′s? I would have given a round of 8′s.

- Dmitry Chaplin and Holly Madison
Dmitry is such great dancer and I loved him on So You Think You Can Dance. I hate to see him voted off this season early, but it’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make to get cotton hair head out of the competition. However, kudos to her make-up artist. I really liked her eyeshadow this week. Oh? The dancing? Totally forgetful!

- Denise Richards and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
Her face is like Barbie-Skeletor. Gynormous eyes glaring out of fembot hell. Let’s lock her, Holly and Lil’ Kim in a room together with no make up for a week and make a fortune on that reality series. Hurry… vote her off!

- David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson
Kym is one of my favorite dancers. I love her little curly hair in the rehearsals. I loved loved loved her dress this week. They got totally robbed with the scores this week and I think they deserved better than what they were awarded. Have no fear, they are going nowhere! I still say that they are one to watch.

- Chuck Wicks and Julianne Hough
Cole went on and on and on about how much she hated Julianne’s outfit. It didn’t bother me that much. But, this couple just gives me the yawns. And, I must add that I love Julianne. Maybe there will be a shift in the next week’s performance.

Haha – “Have no fear – they are going nowhere” – for Grier – assume you meant that in the nicest way.

I think it’s going to be between Shawn, Melissa and Gille. My hubby thinks Melissa will win it all.

I like Steve but I’m ready for Karina to leave. She is so not a good sport.

Sheri, I agree with about 95% of your commentary. Here are some of my impressions:
When Ty finished his dance I almost jumped out of my seat and cheered. What a huge improvement! He looks painfully uncomfortable all the time but that dance was wonderful. Not the best but a very fine job for a very stiff cowboy.
Shawn did a great job but there is something missing for me. She hits all the steps with energy and spirit but I think she lacks personality. I can’t take her seriously. It’s exactly how I felt about Christy Yamaguchi too. Go ahead. Throw tomatoes at me.
Melissa – WOW!
If Winona Ryder went platnum and became a fluzy she would be Holly. Ironically, I think Holly has no sex appeal. But what do I know? I’m not the Heff. *cringe*
For all you women thinking that Denise is trying to steal Maksim’s heart, rest assured. There is not an ounce of chemistry between them. I am surprised to see that she also lacks personality. I can’t say I’m a fan but I’m not a hater either. I honestly thought she would do well. “Barbie-Skeletor” Sheri, you crack me up.

Petunia: I agree with your thoughts on Ty, as well as Shawn. She is missing that magic “extra.” I would compare her to Yamaguchi. Yamaguchi didn’t have my heart when she won. She was more technical than spiritual. I agree… Holly does nothing for me.
Bumbles… yes, my comment was meaning that I was sure that David A. G. would stay and I think he should!

I’m sorry, but this picture of Ty and Chelsie is distracting. Just how close is his hand to her chest?
Moving on, though.
I thought Belinda Carlisle was a good one to send home first. I just really like Steve. He is just having so much fun and is fun to watch, even if he is not the most skilled.
Melissa and Shawn are amazing, aren’t they? They are my favorites to win. My favorite guy is Lawrence Taylor. Gilles was good, but overrated by the judges, in my opinion, as was Denise Richards. And Chuck is so annoying that I can barely stand to watch him, and I think Julianne is adorable. Also, I think David Alan Grier and Kym Johnson did a lot better than the judges thought and I thought the same about Ty and Chelsie. Lil’ Kim did so well on the Quick Step! I was so happy to see her looking more elegant than usual.
I feel sorry for Steve-O, but then again, why the heck did he do that flip? I mean, seriously. Jackass or no, right? Lacy did a handspring, but he did a flip. I have back problems. I know how easily so much can go wrong. I got back problems from being a gymnast for 7 years (and bad genetics). Those types of tricks are very hard on your body because of how jarring they are (in fact, gymnastics and football are the 2 sports that are most likely to lead to back issues according to my doctors). I agree that if Steve-O can even get back into the dancing, they will not last long. I predict next week it will be between Steve-O, Steve, and Holly Madison.

I totally agree on the distracting photo. It’s like his hand is on her boobie!
Next week… I predict Holly, Steve, Steve-O, but I’m secretly hoping for Denise Richards.
What was up last night with the I’m the “November” centerfold crap!?! Now it’s how many centerfolds you’ve done? Makes me ill!
