I hope the people who haven’t read her yet take the time to do it soon. She really is insightful and humorous. Even the tragedy of the story has a dark humor and compassion to it. I enjoyed both this and Hypocrite very much. And like you, I wonder, where the hell is Claire now? Is she alive? Crazy? Happily married to the good boyfriend sipping gin tonics in a country club somewhere? That’s how I happened upon this site hoping to find out online, but it’s probably never going to surface. At least I know a good new book review spot to peruse!

I just read this one too and really enjoyed it. I haven’t read Hypocrite yet, but it’s in my TBR pile. I would really like to know what happened to Claire!
