Mommy-Braggy Basketball Update

The twins’ team won their last game.  The finished the season UNDEFEATED!  My girls both made the “All-Stars” team (a first for them, EVER, in any sport).  They are playing in a big “too-doo” game in March with an ESPN commentator.  How cool is that?  Such a proud MAMA Bear.

I’m a bit miffed at some of the parents on the team who live vicariously through their children.  They acted rather immaturely about the “All-Stars” selections and involved the children.  DUMB!  Overall, a great basketball day and I couldn’t be happier for my girls.

Oh… and a little funny… Cole’s coach wrote her good-bye note to her stating… “Stop fighting with your sister!”  Hee Hee… oh, how she caught onto them quick!

That’s awesome! Congrats to the girls! My hubby coaches my daughter’s basketball and baseball teams, so I know how some of the parents can be. I could tell stories…

Congrats to your girls! Parents can ruin so many things for their kids – just be glad you’re not one of “those” parents.

That’s awesome! Congrats! It’s especially great that they both made the All Star team as well. It must be so hard for twins when one achieves something that the other one doesn’t. That is an issue they will always have to deal with but sometimes that stuff is harder on the Mama Bear. No one wants their cubs to be sad or disappointed.

My youngest just finished his JV season with only one loss. They played great and the varsity team is still playing. Baseball practice started two days after their last game but luckily not full practices yet. They do need some down time. And the parents’ behavior can be so horrible! We’ve been fortunate that there have been few incidents that weren’t nipped in the bud but I can’t imagine why anyone would ever want to be a ref. What thankless job.
