My Apologies…

First off… if there is anybody out there in “blog-land” who missed “Misconceived, Part 3,” I apologize.  I had WAY TOO MUCH going on this weekend to get it completed in time.  Plus, I took some family time in lieu of blog time.  I’ll ensure to post it on next week’s The Sunday Salon.

Second on the blog post agenda: Thank you to Lisa of Books on the Brain for including me in her book club.  I really enjoyed the meeting and, more importantly, talking to women who loved reading as much as I do.  Ellen was a lovely hostess and her house is just so impeccably clean!  Hats off to Ellen!

Third… I didn’t get any movies done this week.  See?  I am human and come with faults.  If you posted a Monday’s Movie post this week, please accept my heartfelt apologies.  Please email me at anovelmenagerie@aol.com and I will highlight your posts this week in mine!  (sorry.)

Last… I am EXHAUSTED.  I have hit a wall and have slithered down it into a pool of mush.  The Sher that is feisty and writes will return soon… I promise!   BUT, I NEED A FAVOR… I met this lovely gal in the vet’s office this week.  She’s into mystery books.  Can you please leave me a comment on your favorite mystery book blogger so that I can recommend a few to her?  Thanks so much!

My tired  best to all of you.

P.S. If you’re a weekly reader and are keeping up on the girls’ basketball team… we won AGAIN!  Still undefeated and my daughter had the best shot of the game!  So proud!

Sher

Sheri, don’t apologise!! Blogging should be without obligation (I saw that somewhere, lol). But it is true…

When you hit a wall, everything needs to be put aside, whilst you rest and recover. Curl up with a good book or two, or three… ;)

    Bless ya,
    Amanda

read this recently and it is excellent! In the Woods by Tana French

but for gothic mystery i’d say read “the thirteenth tale” by diane setterfield

i finished and reviewed the book i won from you “the old curiosity shop” by charles dickens and it was wonderful! Thank you again!

I missed part 3 — but figured you had lots of other stuff going on :)

My favorite mystery book blogger is Lesa at http://lesasbookcritiques.blogspot.com

I have just started to enjoy this genre myself and Elizabeth George and Anne Perry were recommended to me – and I greatly enjoyed their first books (both of them are rather prolific writers).

Hope you are able to catch up on some sleep this week. I look forward to those feisty commentaries soon.

Well it sounds to me like you need a ‘just me’ day! I have found that generally it is hard for me to do any blogging at all on the weekend. Since my husband had to take a job where he is gone all week the only time we spend together now is on the weekend. So needless to say the last thing I am thinking about is blogging all weekend!

I hope you take some time to get a good rest and enjoy your family time. Try not to feel guilty about not blogging. We’ll all be here when you get back! :)

I’m thinking I need to plan a bloggy vacation – maybe around my birthday next month or something.
