Oh, Sher, this post was hilarious. I love seeing the pictures. We must have grown up in the same era because the clothes and hairstyles look pretty familiar! That was definitely a painful and awkward time for me too. Are those all upcoming books for your book club or are some past reads? There are some great reads in there. Oh, sad to say, that side-do looks very familiar. (Grimace.)

I wasn’t flat-chested – I was the opposite. In freshman PE, the boys used to jog backward in front of me just to watch the, um, movement. Thank God for good sports bras now!

Although we're all different, I think most of us had at least some similar experiences, and I'm sure that's why almost no one in their right mind would relive their childhood (at least not if we had to do it over again the same way). I know having friends made all of the difference for me. We were "The Nerd Herd" and proud of it. I secretly longed to have my name called as a homecoming princess in high school, but I knew that was never going to happen (bad perm, braces and I was totally a social introvert).
