WOOO-WHOOO… Hot Diggitty Darn!

From my friends Serena of Savvy Verse & Wit, Anna of Diary of an Eccentric and Amy of My Friend Amy, I was presented the Premio Dardos Award…

The Prémio Dardos is given for recognition of cultural, ethical, literary, and personal values transmitted in the form of creative and original writing. These stamps were created with the intention of promoting fraternization between bloggers, a way of showing affection and gratitude for work that adds value to the Web.

Here’s Serena’s reason why:

She not only offers up a great review of books, but she’s been adding movie reviews as well, which keeps me up to date on the latest finds in the theaters. I like that she believes movies and books have their own cultural places in society and that even though books and movies may differ, they are art to be appreciated.

That is very nice.  The movie reviews have been something that I’ve been wanting to do but never got around to starting it.  I’m glad that this goal for 2009 will bring more reviews to the book bloggers out there… and many of them tie to books.  Again, I cannot express how wonderful it makes me feel to ever get the honor of a blogging award.  There is no greater compliment in th world than somebody reading your blog, let alone liking it.  Serena has always been a great supporter of my blogs and I like hers very much, indeed.  Plus… did you see that she has a really cute doggie?

There were no set rules on passing this along, but of course I want to.  I’m going to give my award to a new blogger who I find has such an incredible knack for creative and original writing:  Amanda at Priceless Pearls.

In the spirit that this award was given, I would like to pass it along to two other bloggers that I have also met and truly consider them to be a “blogging buddy.” First I would like this along to Sheri at A Novel Menagerie. Sheri befriended me shortly after I began my blog and we have found kindred spirits in our love of labs. Thank you, Sheri, for reaching out to me.

Wow.   What an amazing compliment.  You know, with Molly, she’s just a great gal who is open to meeting new people, who is genuine and just a really NICE person.  I liked her right off the bat!  I think that she’s a fairly new blogger in the book review blogging community… so, let’s welcome her (in addition to Amanda) to our little book world with open arms!  Oh, and in addition to her being such a wonderful gal, her blog is terrific!  Duh… should mention that!

There were no set rules on passing this one along, either, and of course I want to.  Even though I always give nearly every award under the sun to my friend, Shana, I’m still giving her this one as well, my BBBFF.  Shana is THE BOMB!  She’s probably going to get this award from like 100 more people…. but, hopefully she’ll like mine just as much.  If you don’t know Shana… RUN do not walk to her blog at Literarily.  She’s FANTASTIC!
