Reading Challenge: Operation Actually Read Bible

One of my goals for 2009 is to completely read the New Testament… it’s something that’s been weighing on my heart and I’ve commited to it in my New Year’s Resolutions (which, I am hoping to stick to).

I met Becky, who runs this annual challenge/site, when I first became a blogger. She entered a Thursday’s Thoughts contest of mine and had the greatest monkey menagerie. After I sent her the prize she won, she was so thoughtful that she even posted a “thank you” to me. She’s just that thoughtful!

I love the look of this blog… Becky did a fantastic job. She lists daily, weekly and monthly challenges for bloggers and has established this challenge in such a way that it’ll be managable to keep on track and in contact on how you’re progressing.

So… here’s to my 2nd 2009 Reading Challenge!

I didn’t join the challenge, but I did find a reading plan that (if I stick to it) means I will have read the New Testament and Proverbs twice and Psalms once by the end of the year. The plan e-mails me my assigned chapters every morning – so far so good. Of course, it’s only January 6th…
