From The Cocoon of Write For A Reader…

From my friend, Shelly… of Write for a Reader, I was presented the Butterfly Award.  Her reason why:

I chose these book bloggers as they are ones that have taught me so much about book blogging and whom I love for their posts that never cease to inform me, make me laugh, and inspire me.

I’m informative and inspirational???  Wow!  I always knew that my life was good for a laugh or two … after all, I live in it every day.  But, informative blog and INSPIRATIONAL?  I wonder if Shelly needs a pinch!  I wonder if, when my own mother was convinced they switched babies in the nursery, the nurses told her “… but, she’s informative and inspirational… aaawww.. just take her home and keep her…. you might like her.”  Yep, that was probably it.  Thanks, Shellster!

Cool!  An award!  I’m doing the “bouncing in my computer chair version” of the Snoopy Dance.   There is nothing more touching than a fellow blogger giving you a shout out, a comment, a link, or best yet, an award.  And, I really like Shelly’s blog.  It’s fairly new, but she knows how to do SO MUCH STUFF that I had no idea about when I started blogging 5,000 years ago (really, last August).  She even has a Favicon.  I’m hitting her up for how to do that.   I subscribe to her via RSS Atom Feed and I have her on my blogroll for cross referrals back to her site.  But, since she’s “W” (Write for a Reader), it always takes me a while to get to her daily posts… but, I’m oh so glad that I do.  She always brings me happy thoughts (you got to grab those and run with them, if you know what I mean).

My first Butterfly Award is presented to not only the prettiest lady I know, but the nicest one too!  I actually miss her if she is on blog-hiatus for a day or two.  She is my self-proclaimed BBBFF (Best Book Blogger Friend Forever) and I would fly to Missouri in an instant to kick anyone’s ass who hurt her!  Did I mention that I’m terrified of flying?  Anyway, she is absolutely gorgeous and has three awesome kids who are little blondies, like her.  She reads like a mad-woman… and always takes time for her friends!  Her site is super-well organized (like her closets) and her posts are ALWAYS good!  This award goes to:

My next Butterfly Award (gee… this is fun) is presented to a blogger that has absolutely NOTHING to do with book reviews.  but, she thinks like me (although she may deny that, at first).  Her family has not been very good to her, she’s lost the love of her life, and the worst neighbors imaginable have moved in next door to her.  Yet, despite the atrocities of bad paper boys, pajama wearing moms in the supermarket, and every day’s life perils, she tries to keep the chin up and persevere.  You got to love:

My third Butterfly Award is presented to a mom who is a hottie.  To me, she is a hottie because she emulates what a good mother, wife, and woman SHOULD be.  She is well read, writes like a professional author and I just feel like I’m eating a yummy cupcake when I read her posts.  Folks, she did post a smokin’ hot picture of herself with the kids recently… yep… you know who it is!  It’s:

My fourth Butterfly Award is presented to a book blogger who I think writes the most incredible reviews!  She is an extremely talented writer and somebody whose opinion I value.  Her blog is very well diversified… it has just enough of everything that you want to read… she has reviews, challenges, interesting MEME’s and it’s just an overall KICK ASS blog!  Hint:  She knits like me.  Another Hint:  Blue Kitty Cat.  Any guesses?  It’s:

My fifth Butterfly Award is presented to a blogger that I really enjoy.  First off, her blog is just lovely.  I feel so cozy when I’m there… like I need a good cup of tea and some moments to just sit and focus on her writing.  She participates in good MEMEs, supports good causes, writes excellent reviews, writes a lot of reviews, thinks of others, and is just a blog that I find myself gravitating to.  This next award is for somebody that I hope to know much more about in 2009:

My final Butterfly Award is presented to a fellow animal lover.  She also has teens.  This gal and I should run away to Hawaii (like in Flirting with Forty) and escape the madness.  Then, we’d probably miss our animals too much and have to come home (and, I don’t mean the kids! hee hee).  She also knits and I think drinks martinis… she’s a good person and a great blogger.  She’s another blogger than I plan to pester all of 2009!  Any guesses which bookworm this is?  Of course, it’s:
