Calling All Yellow Labs…
It Seems That Marley & Me
Brought Out the Yellow Labrador Lovers
In All of Us!
<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>
Well, well, well… since my Monday’s Movie review of Marley & Me, I’ve now met Darcy and Ralphie (and his gorgeous pups)… and, I’m thinking that there are many more of you YELLOW LAB mommies and daddies out there who would love to show off their pup! Although some of my blog-friends/long time readers already have seen WAY too many pictures of my BLONDE BOMBSHELL, Tori… I can never resist the opportunity to show her off some more! So, by popular demand (yes, like 2 people…) here are pictures of the MOST GORGEOUS LAB ever born without a tail.

And, for that body shot that you’re all dying to show your male labs:

She actually is spoken for by her lab/golden mix boyfriend, Brody. But, she still makes a good pin-up girl!
She does have a little sister.. Claire:

Anyway… TIME FOR YOU TO SHOW OFF YOUR YELLOW LAB! PLEASE POST AND LEAVE ME A COMMENT SO I CAN CHECK OUT YOUR PUPS-A-DOODLE!
(or, any cute four legged friend in your life… I just love BermudaOnion’s Milou).
They don’t call this the MENAGERIE for nothin’!
P.S. During the entire night’s photo shoot for this post, my cat Oliver was totally miffed that we weren’t chasing him around with the camera. At his insistence, here’s his contribution to the night’s shoot (he never goes in that cat thing…. so, he was really trying to be a show-stealer):

Oh Sheri… your girl is absolutely gorgeous! I just want to hug her…
I will load up some of my boy’s baby photos very soon. He was so CUTE! Why did he have to get big so quickly. Ahhhemmm! He is now about 45 kilos!! He loves his dinnies (dinner for your humans that don’t understand lab talk
)
Oh, I have my feed thing sorted out. Next time you pop over, it’s on the right hand side under ‘meta’. No RSS icon though. I’m not that clever, lol.
How do I put one of those badges on my blog?

all your animals are beautiful! Right now I have no animals of my own.. but a white cat nammed BooBoo thinks he owns me and 3 cats think my bedroom is their private abode!.. but over my long life I’ve had both cats and dogs and love them all.

Tori is gorgeous. Milou will be excited about the shout out. (I’ll tell her when she decides to wake up. Her human brother is home from school and she takes the opportunity to sleep late.) If I made a badge, it would have to say, “My JRT owns me.”

Well, as mommy to Ralfie, I am just as proud as punch that he was mentioned in your post
Tori really is a beautiful girl and if we lived closer, Ralfie would be her “stud-muffin”. For now, he will have to settle for that gorgeous pin-up shot!
I definitely need to put one of the buttons you created on my sidebar. The problem is….which one?!

Your furkids are so beautiful! I’ve always loved yellow labs. They are beautiful and so sweet. I myself have a smaller guy named Buddy. He’s a pomeranian poodle. I may try to get a pic of him today if he’ll sit still long enough and post it. Otherwise if you scroll down on my right sidebar, there he will be smiling out at you.

What sweet babies! I’ll have to post some of my photos. Do chocolate labs count? How about golden retrievers and cocker spaniels?

YOU ARE AWESOME!!!
thank you for the very kind, encouraging words.
OH….and btw…..we are going to treat ourselves with some Christmas money and actually go see a movie tonight (first time to see a movie as a couple in at least 5 years). AND…guess what movie we are going to see?!
I’ll let you know how I like it compared to the book (and real life).

Hi Sheri,
I have a 6 mo. old cream colored LABradoodle. I have allergies and always wanted a lab, so Lily is a dream come true for my whole family. There are a few photos of her on my blog, the most recent just happens to be in my post from yesterday. I’m watching a DVD tonight, Jersey Girl. If I’m inspired, I’ll review it for Monday.

Yeah… her tail is like 3 1/2 inches long. Since we adopted her at 9 months, we don’t know if she was born that way or if her mommy damaged her when she was small. But, I actually like that she doesn’t have a tail because everything on coffee tables are safe and we never get whipped! It’s a cute little stub of a tail. She doesn’t like it when you touch it, though. I think that the nerve endings in it hurt her. The tail is twisted and mangled in there… but, you can’t see if under the fur. Frankly, I’ve gotten so used to it that I forget sometimes until others bring it up. I didn’t even know she was missing it when we adopted her. All we could see was her face!

Sherri,
)
I’m loving the ‘sexy’ pics of Tori. Steinbeck’s a little too young to be viewing these yet but I may show him in a few months time.
I’m not sure if your comments over at my place reassured or horrified me. A lot of people are saying that the Labs calm down at around 2, and by my reckoning I’ve still got another 16 months to go…groan!!!!
As for Marley and Me my wife has read it but I haven’t. We may go and see the film when it releases in the UK, especially when it comes with the added ‘eye candy’ bonus of Jennifer Aniston. That said I think she’s probably upstaged by the other blonde in the starring role
)
Take care and big hugs for Tori
Rob

This was fun although it took me forever! I explained it in my post. I have no idea when these were suppose to be in but I had fun doing it, for the most part. Here are my puppy dogs!

Oh my goodness, what cuties!
We also have furry family members similar to yours. 2 dogs and a cat… Zoey the labradoodle (looked like a yellow lab as a puppy), Candy the bassador (half lab and half basset hound) and Callie the Calico.
I couldn’t wait to see the movie “Marley and Me” and now want to read the book. It is a very sad movie but touching and meaningful. We are so lucky to have our pets even if it isn’t for long enough.
