A little background about this post…
I have to brag about my web designer, Judi of DoodleBug Web Designs. How she found the patience to deal with my neurotic, perfectionist, and A-Type personality is beyond me! But, she really helped. She got me focused on what kinds of photos I like, what kinds of fonts… colors, backgrounds, shadows, signatures… oh, the choices! I’m happy with what we decided on and I am definitely going to use her for future projects and my other website. Making the transition to self-hosting was easy, but I don’t think the transition was. This is mainly due to the fact that I didn’t know what I was doing. But, now I do! Yippee! I wanted to have the opportunity to advertise to supplement our family income in some small way, so self-hosting was the right choice for me. I hope I haven’t lost too many of you in the transition! If any body out there in Blogger Land decides to take the leap and needs any help, I’m totally there to help you… just write me. Although, I only know GoDaddy.Com for the web-hosting server company. But, they are super reasonable.
ANYWAY… onto the topic of this post!
Judi is a specialist with WordPress and Blogger designs. So, you can do as much, or as little as you like. She’s flexible in her services and very reasonable with her pricing. Because I really enjoyed her “creative juices,” I’d thought somebody out there in Blogger Land may WISH for the same. Oh, and if you’re happy with your layout but just maybe want to put up a temporary holiday header, this is the perfect chance to do so. ALSO, IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN A RE-DESIGN OR HEADER, IF YOU ARE THE WINNER, I AM SURE THAT JUDI WILL TRADE IT IN FOR SOME NEAT BUTTONS, A SIGNATURE, OR OTHER NOOKS & CRANNIES THAT YOU DESIRE!
Yes, I’m running another contest!
The winner will win:
Ooohhhh….
Aaahhhh…
I can hear you out there… thinking… YEAH! I want to win that!
Humph! So, I gotcha’ now!
Time for the good contest!

Your Three Wishes Contest
Timeline: Starts Sunday, November 9th and Ends Sunday, November 16th, 2008 – 5pm PST
Rules: If you had the ability to have three wishes come true for your PERSONAL LIFE (i.e. no world peace, ending of starvation, guaranteed entrance into heaven, etc.), what would you wish for? Oh, and the “I’d wish for 3 more wishes” is NOT allowed! (I’m soooo mean, I know). Try to really write about what you’d like for you…not your kids, your husband, your family, etc. These three wishes are ALL ABOUT YOU!
Easy enough. Right?
Entries: I’ll make it easy on you. You have 3 choices for entering:
* Write a post on your blog. For a double entry, include my nifty Genie photo and link it back to Moi! I’ll insert an easy copy below. If you choose this option, leave me a comment below with a link to your post.
* Write me an email at anovelmenagerie@aol.com. I’ll post it for you. (Can’t get much simpler than that).
* Go ahead and jot your 3 wishes down in your comment. Make sure that you leave your email address, as well so that I can reach you.
Winning is Easy: I’m using a random number picker to choose the winner. Your number will be based on in which order you post. If you do the blog/photo option, you will get two numbers assigned to you. The winner shall be announced by no later than Monday, November 10th at 8pm PST.
Here’s that easy copy I promised:

Ooh great contest! Okay I did it and I included your photo link.
Love this contest…I want to participate…I need to give it some thought!
xoxo
I can’t believe you only have two entries! This is an awesome contest!!! Of course, I’ve already engaged a blog designer and am in the process of a re-design, so no need to enter me, but I wanted to stop by and say that Judi did a wonderful job with your blog. It’s gorgeous! I know I’ve already said that, but it bears repeating!!!

This is such a tough one. I had to rewrite these when I saw that it’s supposed to be about me and not my family. I think my three wishes would be:
1. Excellent health
2. More Confidence/less shyness
3. A new wardrobe each season chosen by a personal shopper (totally selfish, but I’m terrible at shopping for myself)

Okay I’m back…my three wishes:
I wish that I will always be employed for the next 20 years.
I wish that I will never hear the words ‘you have cancer’ again.
I wish that I can lose the 70 pounds I need to lose in order to improve my health…which is good…but currently I’m a walking time bomb and need to make some changes so that I don’t get high blood pressure, high chorlestorol or diabetes.
PS This was hard…I could think of so many other wishes…lol.
Cooly cool cool! My three wishes:
1. health for me and my family
2. the ability to travel for a living
3. the ability to be more outgoing to share my faith
Thanks for submitting your post to BPOTW!
1) I would wish for a well paying job blogging about books.
2) I would wish for a nice big house in an area of the country with four seasons. (big house for all the books)
3) I would wish for a limitless bank account.
I feel so selfish!
I included your genie, I LOVE it! Great design!!! The wishing was not as easy as it sounds! What’s important today, isn’t always important tomorrow. I wish I could have a genie on my side everyday all the time without the limitations, but I guess that’s not part of the rules!
I don’t know if I’m still in time for entering the contest… but this is fun and I’ll do it all the same.
I’d wish for:
1) A nice and well-paid job, either as a translator or for a publisher
2) A loving boyfriend
3) A more cheerful personality
